Family Caregiver Activities in LIFE Center

Free massages for family caregivers will be offered during the RIC LIFE Center’s FAMILY CAREGIVER MONTH celebrations in November. The Soma Institute, a Chicago massage therapy school, will provide the free massages as part of its collaborative program with the Therapeutic Recreation Department.
Massages will be offered from 2-5 pm on Tuesday, Nov., 17; Thursday, Nov., 19; and Tuesday, Nov. 24.
Other Family Caregiver events include:
“Learn about the Brain and Strokes” 4-5 pm, Monday, Nov. 9
“Personal Health Record” organizing health information 5:30-6:30 pm, Wednesday, Nov. 11
“Family Caregiver Support Group” 5:30-6:30 pm, Wednesday, Nov. 4 & Nov. 18
“Education Sessions” for helpful resources for life after rehab.
