Dance Class for People with Parkinson’s Disease

Dance is a stimulating mental activity that connects the mind to the body by invoking imagery, telling stories with movement, and making use of the senses to enhance balance and coordination in movement. Join this 8-week class for person’s with Parkinson’s Disease on Mondays and Thursdays at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Teacher: Citlali Lopez-Ortiz, PhD,MA, professional dancer and expert in Dance and Movement Sciences, affiliated with Northwestern University Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago Parkinson’s Disease Rehabilitation Clinic.
