The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) created the Section 504 and IDEA Comparison Chart to show how these federal statues and civil rights laws complement each other.

This chart can be downloaded and compares the following:

- purpose,
- who is protected,
- services provided,
- requirements for delivering services,
- funding,
- evaluation procedures,
- placement decisions, and
- due process.
