Air Travel - Plane Facts for Air Travelers...Passengers with Disabilities

The Air Carrier Access Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of disabilities in air travel and requires air carriers to accommodate the needs of passengers with disabilities. In May 2009, the Department of Transportation Office of Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings and its Aviation Consumer Protection Division issued the answers to more than 50 frequently asked questions.
