Back in Life

In July of 2005, Zack Weinstein had just finished his freshman year at Skidmore College. He was working as a counselor at a summer camp in Maine when, while on a canoe trip with some of his co-counselors during his day off, there was a terrible accident. He hit his head on the bottom of the Saco River and broke his neck at C5/6. He has since returned to school and has made a video about his life. He hopes that his video will serve to show others that it is possible to get "Back in Life".

Flowers of Chicago
Reviewed June 2008
After surviving a brain injury from an automobile accident, Sheri Shaw-Sicuranzo transformed her life from nurse to photographer during an extraordinary journey of discovery through rehabilitation. Her stunning close-up images illustrate the delicate intricacies of Gods creation and reveal hope and renewal of life to all audiences. "Seeing how much love was placed into the creation of flowers helps us understand the love that was placed into creating each of us, despite our imperfections". Shaw-Sicuranzo lives with her husband and two children in Lockwood, California where she also raises horses. Her photography work has also exhibited at the Lauryn Taylor Fine Arts Gallery in Carmel, California. Since her last visit to Chicago Sheri started her own business - "Eye of the Beholder - Fine Arts Photography". All images displayed in this presentation represent the beautiful flowers that engulf the fine city of Chicago and served as an inspiration to her during her rehabilitation.
